Physiotherapist / Manager

Ben Wilkes

Ben is an Australian Physiotherapy Association titled Gerontological Physiotherapist. Ben's interests are in falls prevention, promotion of physical activity and rehabilitation. He has contributed to the Physiotherapy profession by completing a literature review and published a research article in the Journal of Australian Strength and Conditioning.

Ben has been a practicing Physiotherapist in the Community and Aged Care sector on the Tweed and Gold Coast since 2013.

Ben has completed University studies in the following:

  • Bachelor of Sports Science (Bond University)

  • Graduate Diploma of Education (Griffith University)

  • Doctorate of Physiotherapy (Bond University)

Physiotherapist

Tom Nowlan

Tom graduated from the University of Newcastle with his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) degree in 2016. Since then he has thoroughly enjoyed working in both private practice musculoskeletal clinics and residential aged care settings.

 

Tom has particular interests in assisting with healthy ageing including functional exercise prescription, falls prevention and mobility.

Tom loves working with a wide variety of clients, striving for their individual goals and physical peak.

Tom lives in the beautiful Tweed region where he loves spending his spare time with his family, surfing and running.

Physiotherapist

Casandra Herbert

Casandra is originally from Canada where she pursued studies in the public health sector by graduating with a Bachelors of Kinesiology at the University of Alberta in 2019. While living in Australia, she has graduated from the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at Bond University and was previously working in a private practice physiotherapy clinic primarily treating musculoskeletal conditions. With a plethora of experience in a variety of areas working with elite athletes, critical care conditions, NDIS, acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and/or conditions, she carries a vast knowledge working with different conditions to provide holistic care for patients. 

As a published author in the Journal of Population Ageing, she shares her knowledge of the lifestyles of healthy and active older adults that are achieving longevity. She aspires to transfer this into her daily life with her patients to help them achieve a better quality of life. 

In her spare time Casandra loves being active by enjoying the outdoors going hiking, or playing beach volleyball, and likes to settle down with yoga or doing some art.
